Royal Airforce C-130J Super Hercules - 47 Squadron - 50th Anniversary Hercules - ZH883

For the first time, a model of the latest Hercules variant, the C-130J-30 "Super Hercules", is released in the 1/500 scale. New features include six-blade propellers and the air-to-air refueling probe above the cockpit. Parallel to the first C-130J-30 with the long fuselage in the colors of the German Air Force (item no 537438), a C-130J, or C.5, as it is officially called by the Royal Air Force, is released with the shorter fuselage – but in a special livery for the 50th anniversary of Hercules operations in the United Kingdom. Founded back in 1916, the 47th Squadron was restructured into a transport squadron from 1946 onwards. In 1968 it received its first Lockheed Hercules and ultimately from 1999 the first "Super Hercules".
