In 1990, the year of the German Unity, the Rennsteig shipping company Neuhaus was founded in the course of the privatization of Kraftverkehr Neuhaus and a cooperation with the shipping company Söllner. With that, the former Kraftverkehr Neuhaus is the only former motor traffic company of the former GDR which was preserved as far as possible and even extended as a part of the Söllner shipping company. Also the Rennsteig-fleet imprint, which hardly differs from the Söllner layout, proves the affiliation with Söllner.
