Ecuatoriana McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30 – HC-BKO

The national carrier of Ecuador had one of the most colorful and recognizable liveries ever to be applied to a DC-10, making it an ideal “representative” for South America in our series commemorating the 50th anniversary of the three-holer. With the purchase of its sole DC-10 from Swissair in 1983, Ecuatoriana was able to introduce several new non-stop routes from Quito to the US, Canada and all the way to Spain.
