Luxair Lockheed L-1649A

In the 1950s, Luxair subsidiary Luxavia chartered two Starliners of South Africa's Trek Airways. Because South African airlines were not allowed to fly over numerous African countries because of the boycott of the Apartheid regime, the South Africans could not operate the route Johannesburg- Luxembourg themselves. The model of LX-LGY comes as a limited edition.
