The Berlin fire brigade is the oldest professional fire brigade in Germany. It was founded in 1851. Around 5300 employees are spread across 35 stations. This makes it not only the oldest, but also the largest professional fire brigade in the country. A further 58 volunteer fire brigades with around 1500 active volunteer members support the full-time firefighters here. After a handful of “recently” released models (097338, 097444, 097819, 097956 and 098080), a VW Crafter flat-roof box (GW-RettMat) is now being realized. The model is a limited edition. (Berlin)
