In close cooperation with DaimlerChrysler and Märklin, Herpa releases a unique collector‘s train set for the 2003 Christmas season. A car transport train, consisting of a Märklin electric locomotive of the 182 series (a high-quality digital version) with the „Silver Arrow“ design, and three_x000D_double-deck car transport wagons. Each of the wagons carries eight, thus a total of twenty-four Herpa models of the latest Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren — a model the be introduced to the regular retail collection in April 2004. The background story: the new DaimlerChrysler super sports car is produced by McLaren in England, and are transported to the European Continent by rail. The car transport train „Silver Arrow“ will come in an original Märklin box, and the limited edition of 1,000 sets is offered exclusively by Herpa.
