The Boeing 727 was tailor made for Turkish Airlines’ needs in the 70s. As from 1974, at first nine 727-2F2 Advanced came into the fleet, which were supposed to be operated in both line and charter operations. Just like everywhere else, the airplane proved so outstandingly, that Turkish Airlines operated it for almost 30 years.
