In cooperation with the Dutch miniature model manufacturer Tekno, Herpa kicks off the new 1/50 scale. Based on original plans, the models are made ofzinc diecasting and feature many additional details, which couldn´t be replicated in the 1/87 scale. This model is simultaneously the start of a collector’s series in the 1/50 scale in which successively´s any "Herpa presents" showtrucks will be released as collector’s items. "Cradle of Humankind" was the first showtruck which Walter Rosner designed in cooperation with Herpa in 2001 and with which the entrepreneur Jürgen Schmid from Teublitz had been causing a stir on various trucker meetings for several years. Until today, a total of 13 showtrucks have been designed by airbrush artist Rosner - all of them produced by Herpa as high-quality collector’s items.
