The SU-27 is the current show-piece fighter jet of the Russian airforce. It was created in the engineering office of Pavel Osipowitsch Suchoi in 1971. The advanced two seated training version SU-27UB is today the craft the stunt pilot squadron already established in 1946 operates. Its home air base is Kubinka, 60 kilometers west of Moscow. Six SU-27UBs entered the squadron in 1989 and enabled the aerobatics team to demonstrate spectacular maneuvers. Herpa presents two originals as models, the machines with the registrations 20 and 25, which belong to the 237th flight demonstration center Ivan Kozhedub (TsPAT). The 20 will be released with open and the 25 with closed cockpit.
