In 2006, Doha, Qatar was the host city for the 15th Asian Games, an Olympic Games-type competition for the Asian region. 45 nations contested in a total of 39 disciplines. Qatar Airways, one of the sponsors of this event, decorated three aircraft with different special color schemes, which were produced exclusively for the airline for duty free sales. A small remaining quantity of the A330 registration A7-AEG is now also available at the Herpa brands shop.
