Following on from the great demand for the two previous Space Shuttle models, the “Enterprise” and the “Atlantis”, now a model of the tandem Boeing 747 / Rockwell Orbiter Vehicle is set to blast off. Its name “Discovery” is owed to one of the ships on which James Cook cruised the South Pacific, discovering Hawaii in 1778. The Discovery is scheduled to take off on its last operation in April 2010.
