Who’s not heard of the truck fleet of the Franconian potato specialist Hans Henglein from Abenberg near Nuremberg. But the company is not only active producing potato products and potato dumpling dough. The Henglein company turns its special attention to its fleet. There are no simple off-the-rack trucks it has to be something special which means elaborate airbrush designs and the matching accessories from the ram protection to the chromium-plated trumpet horn. Hans Henglein was able to engage the airbrush artist Walter Rosner from Mitterteich to design the shells. With his sense for colors and the artistic eye, Rosner virtuously applies the colors on the vehicle. In September 1994, the colorful Rosner/Henglein fleet started with the already famous Mercedes-Benz SK “Kartoffel-Acker” (potato field). The former bulk silo trailer was currently replaced by a dump silo which is pulled by the new Mercedes-Benz Actros rigid tractor.
