In 2003, the Daimler FleetBoard GmbH was established as a 100% subsidiary of the Daimler AG to combine long-time experience in the truck industry and information technology know-how under one roof. One of the main tasks is optimizing the customer’s transport and vehicle management. The point is to operate the vehicles as efficient as possible in daily traffic but also considering the legal regulations of drive and rest periods or possible deficiencies due to maintenance intervals. FleetBoard headquarters are located in Stuttgart. The installation team in the company-owned hall at the plant in Wörth or right at the customer’s site takes care of the professional installation of FleetBoard hardware. They also operate worldwide inter alia in Europe, South Africa, Middle East and Brazil. In 2010 for instance, over 75,000 vehicles on more than 1,500 customer sites were equipped with a FleetBoard system. A partial edition is now also available at the Herpa trademark shop.
