Hagen is located in the south-east of the Ruhr, where the headquarters of the forwarding company Schmitz are established. The family-owned company has mainly specialized in transport solutions for the regional blacksmith and cold roll industry. For that, the forwarder maintains an own side track with switching engine as well as vehicles with a permit for excess lengths up to 17 meters. The original of this exclusive model is operated for Schmitz – the small version was given away to good customers.
