Air Transport Wing 63, based at Hohn in the North German state of Schleswig-Holstein, has been operating the Transall C-160 for no less than 52 years. In the fall of 2019, LTG 63 passed the 400,000 hour mark with the Transall and celebrated the rare record with a special color scheme. By the end of 2021, the last few of the venerable transporters will have been retired, replaced by the Airbus A400M.
