With the take-over of the Condor Luftreederei in 1961, Lufthansa acquired its only two “true” “Metropolitans” with extended bow radar noses, while the others were converted CV-340s. The original of the latest CV-440-0 series was D-ACEK, previously registered for Condor as D-ADIL. The limited edition airplane model will be released in the livery of 1964, which had been launched with the commissioning of the first Boeing 727.
