Please note that this article is a limited special edition and that we reserve the right to shorten it. In normal times, the Boeing 767 is used by Icelandair for passenger flights. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, however, three aircraft of this type belonging to the Icelandair fleet were converted into freighters, and chartered by Schenker DB, the logistics subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn (German Rail), to transport urgently needed medical products and other goods between China and Germany. In order to make this cooperation visible, the logo of the service provider Schenker is being displayed for the first time on an Icelandair jet. The first aircraft to be launched on this route on April 26 was the Boeing 767 with the registration TF-ISP. The model of this plane is now available with the Schenker logo in a limited edition, coming in a specially created packaging.
