In cooperation with Modelyletadel, Herpa is now releasing a second wave of L-29 “Dolphins” in the 1/72 scale. The original of this jet trainer served in the 11th Fighter Pilot Training Wing of East Germany’s National People’s Army Air Forces in Bautzen. Following initial training on gliders and piston engine aircraft, the future fighter pilots went on to basic, acrobatic and weapons training on the “Dolphin”. The L-29 was retired from East German service in 1980. Distributed by Herpa worldwide – with exception of the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
