Delta Air Lines, one of the worlds oldest airlines, still operates 123 Boeing 727-232 planes. By the year 2001, all these aircraft are expected to be retired, as the fleet’s average age is 21 years. Our model carries all the details of the new livery which the large US airline chose in 1997, after having remained the same for thirty years. Each and every bit has been reproduced true to the last detail, like the position lights, the escape route marks on the wings, and the speed sensors beneath the fuselage. Other items, like the detailed rudder section, flaps, and jet engines, as well as the functioning version of the landing gear, and the engine blades, also display lots of interesting details.
