After more than 19 hours of continuous flight, “Manu-Tara” (“lucky bird” in the language of the Rapa Nui, the island’s native inhabitants) reached Easter Island on January 20, 1951, the fi rst aircraft to bridge the distance from South America. This model depicts the airworthy replica, introduced at the FIDAE Air show in Santiago de Chile in 2014.
