The Concorde was still ordered by BOAC, but then the British Labour government decided_x000D_to merge BOAC and BEA. Simultaneously with Air France, the newly formed British_x000D_Airways launched the Concorde for commercial line operations on 21 January 1976. The_x000D_original of this new casting with the registration G-BOAB entered the fleet in the same_x000D_year, being the third of seven supersonic jets.
