Just in time for Halloween, the “Ridgerunners”, as they are originally called, presented a scary reaper on this Osprey tiltrotor aircraft, holding a playing card of the unit’s original name “Ridgerunners” on the left stabilizer and a card with its second badge portraying the “Evil Eyes” on the right. The unit received its nickname “Evil Eyes” during operations in the Vietnam War, having applied “eyes” on the noses of their helicopters to intimidate enemy forces during approach. A tradition that they have upheld through to this day.
