The abbreviation E52 stands for the BMW super roadster Z8. 5700 examples were handcrafted from March 2000 until July 2003. In 2002, the Alpina version was released – 555 examples with the name „Roadster V8“. The difference is mainly the torque-stronger V8 engine with 381 HP and an automatic transmission to make it more interesting for the American and Japanese market. This vehicle was distributed in the USA. Until the end of 2003, 450 Roadster V8s were delivered to the USA. The remaining 105 units remained in Europe and Japan. Being a part of the Alpina edition of course means delivery of this rare vehicle in black with golden ornamental stripes in a Private Collection
