The Audi V8 was the first vehicle in the luxury class of the Audi AG in Ingolstadt and was manufactured from 1988 until 1994. Furthermore, it had been the first luxury class sedan which featured the permanent all-wheel drive Quattro as standard. The V8 was based on the Audi 100 and 200 and was produced over 21,000 times until 1994. The official name was Audi V8 quattro, the company’s intern code D11.
