Even aviation greenhorns become enthusiastic when they spot Air India planes with their most original ”temple windows“ from the visitor‘s terraces of large airports. Another special feature of the Indian planes: on one side of the fuselage, the logo is written in Latin letters, on the other side in Hindi. This no less than thirty-three-year-old livery became so popular that it was reintroduced in 1993, as the airline‘s customers simply would not accept a ”new“ livery launched four years before.
