After Air Berlin had announced a new livery for its fleet only last June, Germany’s second largest airline surprised the public yet with another new livery on January 7, 2008. After taking over LTU, the Swiss Belair and the planned take-over of Condor, the airberlin group would like to reposition itself as a global company and also to reflect that in its image. In the new CI, following its internet presence, the company name is now written in small letters and in one word. The brand name is now completed by the addition “Your Airline”. The new shade of red is the golden mean between Air Berlin’s older, darker red and the lighter red of LTU. Almost simultaneously with the design of the airberlin group’s first machine in the new outfit, we will release the first Boeing 737-800 model in the new colors.
