The in 1986 founded AeroGal from Ecuador operates a fleet of eight Boeing 737-200s as well as a single Boeing 727-200. The 737 models are of the “Advanced” series whose powerful engines are ideally suited for operation from high altitude airports like the one of the capital Qutio. The original of this model, limited to 1,000 items, with the registration HC-CEQ and the name “Iguana” was launched by AeroGal in June 2004. It had been manufactured 17 years before that for Air Malta.
