The first of three Zeppelin NT airships was delivered to the US tire manufacturer Goodyear in 2014. Component production was handled in Germany, final assembly took place in Goodyear’s airship hangar on Wingfoot Lake in Ohio. The second airship was named “Wingfoot Two” in 2016 by Savannah James, the wife of basketball player and NBA superstar LeBron James, both natives of Akron, Ohio where Goodyear has its headquarters. In addition to flying over numerous sport events, “Wingfoot Two” was present at such major events as the NBA Finals or the Academy Awards Ceremony and surely hard to be overlooked.
