The airship manufacturer from Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance was able to secure an order for three Zeppelin NTs from the US tire manufacturer. While the Zeppelins NT airships built to date had been of the LZ N07-100 type, Goodyear received the first Zeppelins of the new LZ N07-101 series. Although the airships of this series are still 75 meters long, they can accommodate 16 passengers in the slightly stretched nacelle instead of the previous 14. A fourth aircraft in a modified livery has been flying over Germany and Europe since fall of 2020, not only on promotion flights at sport events for Goodyear, but also on scheduled scenic flights over Lake Constance.
