This VW Crafter bus is operated as crew van for the fire department academy in Hamburg. The academy, founded in 1969 is an independent institution of the Hamburg fire department which has developed into the basic and advanced training school for 5,000 fire men. The model will be released in the design of the Hamburg fire department, however, the original as well as the model don’t carry significant signs referring to the fire department academy.
