The National People’s Army of the former GDR, or NVA for short, of course operated numerous vehicles of the national-owned car manufacturing plant Eisenach. The 353, manufactured from 1966 until 1988 was the largest batch. The original of this model was a 353 Tourist variant with hatch back, manufactured in 1985. It was operated by the NVA as ambulance which is why the rear windows are white.
