Kollmeyer Transport GmbH is represented for the first time in the Herpa new releases with this Volvo FH Gl. XL. The container trailer in house colors carries a 40ft container from Beacon, a company that is meanwhile integrated into CAI International. Kollmeyer's company history goes back to 1896 when the parent company was founded under the name August Pannhorst Fuhrunternehmen, as a horse-drawn carriage company. In 1986, Dirk Kollmeyer (oldest son of a native Pannhorst daughter) bought a truck and went into business for himself under the company name Dirk Kollmeyer Transporte. In 2021, Henrik Kollmeyer joined his parents' business, forming the 5th generation in the company.
