New mold! The first of ultimately over 500 of this strategic long-distance bomber with its unique appearance and counter-rotating propellers were delivered to the Soviet Air Force in the 1950s. As the aircraft has proven itself to be very amazingly rugged and reliable, the current version, the TU-95MS is planned to remain in use for many years to come. Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, initially 25 TU-95s found their way into the Ukrainian Air Force, most of which were scrapped as part of disarmament treaties. The original to our model is on display today at the Aviation Museum in Poltava, Ukraine.j
