Swissair Douglas DC-8-53

From the 60s on, Swissair was partially considered the best European airline and therefore also one of the best worldwide. One reason was the early purchase of the DC-8, the back then new and revolutionary jet airplane of the preferred vendor Douglas. The DC-8-32, registered HB-IDB 1960 and named “Basel-Stadt” was commissioned mainly for North Atlantic routes.
