Six years after the end of WWII, the 24-year old journeyman Alfred Schuon purchased a used truck to go into business as forwarding company. Alfred Schuon was back then with his used 3.5 t Mercedes truck one of the few motorized people and took over dung transports from local farmers, gravel loads from the nearby stone pit and winter weather service. On Sundays, the truck was also gladly used for trips of the sports club in Haiterbach. Today, 150 large-volume engines are in the fleet of which we have picked our model’s original, a Scania R volume trailer with curtain canvas. Pic shows first sample!
