Last year SAS, a merger of the Danish Det Danske Luftfartsekskab A/S (DDL), the Norwegian Det Norske Luftfarsteskap A/S (DNL) and the Swedish Svensk Interkontinental Lufttrafik (SILA) celebrated its 60th anniversary. For the occasion, it painted its first A319 in the livery the airline became big and famous for– the legendary Viking design from the founding year of 1946. In a limited 1,000 piece edition, the model will be released at Herpa Wings with the registration OY-KBO and the name “Christian Valdemar Viking”.
