Royal Australian Air Force Pilatus PC-21 - No 4 Squadron, RAAF Base Williamtown – A54-048
Product number:
580717
Listprice:
€82.95
After two decades of successful operations with its predecessor, the Pilatus PC-9, the RAAF decided in favor of the latest trainer the Swiss aircraft manufacturer had to offer. The state-of-the-art PC-21 replaced the PC-9s of No 4 Squadron in the Forward Air Control role which is why the four aircraft operated by the unit received a low-visibility scheme instead of the bright red of other PC-21s used solely for pilot training. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Australian Air Force at least one aircraft of each type currently operated has received a special logo on its tail. IN case of the PC-21s operated by No. 4 Squadron A54-049 happens to be the aircraft to sport the centenary logo.
