In remembrance of the Olympic Games of 1972 in Munich, in which athletes from 122 countrieshad participated, this year a rally of 122 vehicles manufactured between 1964 and 1972 from all over Germany will take place. From the starting points in Berlin, Stuttgart, Hannover, Frankfurt, Herzogenaurach, Nuremberg and Ingolstadt the rally leads to Munich. For this event, Herpa realized a series of four vehicles (Porsche 911 Targa, Audi 100, VW Käfer und BMW 2002 Tii Touring) from that era, which – equipped with the correspondingnumbers – display the date 1972 and which are all placed in a presentable showcase. A partial edition of this limited edition was cleared for sale.
