Mexicana de Aviación Airbus A318 – XA-UBT

Mexicana was Mexico’s largest airline and, after KLM, Avianca and Qantas, the world’s fourth oldest airline that had continuously operated under the same name. Founded back in 1921, the carrier had to declare bankruptcy in 2010. 2021 would have therefore been their centenary. Reason enough to commemorate this classic airline with a small series of models portraying types and liveries from its rich past. The smallest member of the A320 family kicks off the series, sporting Mexicana’s final livery which was introduced in 2008.
