In Essen, the ASB Regionalverband Ruhr works together with other organizations under the leadership of the Essen professional fire department in the rescue service. A number of new Mercedes-Benz Sprinters with the current body of Fahrtec-System GmbH from Neubrandenburg were procured. The city emblem, previously only ever small on the door, extends in an eye-catching form over the entire rear half of the body. This model is assigned to the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund with the door print. Other vehicles of identical design are in use by the following organizations: St. John's Ambulance, Malteser Hilfsdienst, German Red Cross.
