The Frankfurt Airport Fire Department is the plant fire department of Frankfurt Airport. As a non-public fire department in Hessen, it employs more than 300 full-time personnel who, spread over three fire stations, provide fire protection at Europe's third-largest airport. Since January 2010, the airport fire department has been part of the FTU (Flight Operations and Terminal Management, Corporate Security) business unit of airport operator Fraport AG. This first-generation Mercedes-Benz Atego is still missing in the lineup of Fraport fire department models.
