Since its foundation back in 1945 by Julius Bay and the takeover by the Schaaf Family in 1975, Bay has transformed itself into a specialist in domestic and international tank and silo transportation. With a fleet of more than 500 vehicles (containers and trucks), more than 600,000 tons are moved by rail, on water, or traditionally on roads each year. The main focus lies in the fields of chemical and petrochemical products, construction and raw materials, as well as agricultural goods. This silo tank semitrailer is also part of the fleet, now available in a partial quantity through the Herpa Brand Shop.
