GLS Germany with headquarters in Neuenstein, Hesse, has its origins in German Parcel, which was established by 25 medium-size forwarding companies in 1989. The company was renamed to GLS Germany in 2002 after German Parcel had been purchased by Royal Mail. Today, in terms of turnover, GLS with its approx. 5,000 GLS parcel shops is Germany’s third-largest parcel service after Deutsche Post and UPS. A partial edition of this exclusive model with special box is now also available at the Herpa brands shop.
