Since 1996, the French manufacturer Lohr has produced over 10,000 units of this vehicle transporter. Lohr had then presented the right idea: The trailer is pulled by a tractor on which a short coachwork is mounted which pulls a longer trailer. Both parts are closely linked via a coupling. The advantage: The tractor is standard and therefore cheaper in purchasing and quicker available then a truck chassis, which first has to be equipped with a coachwork. Herpa now releases the second vehicle transporter variant, this time in the design of the forwarding company Betz from Reutlingen.
