For more than 110 years, everything at S&G has been about the star making the company the oldest Mercedes-Benz dealer worldwide. S&G was established in 1898, when Ernst Schoemperlen launched the Automobil-Centrale in Karlsruhe. Soon after, the company’s founder met his later partner Walter Gast and with the latter as associate, Schoemperlen und Gast was founded in 1908. For the 100th anniversary in 1998, the reorganization into S&G Automobil Aktiengesellschaft was commenced. With 17 locations and 1200 employees Germany-wide, S&G offers a comprehensive vehicle and service range. The model was produced exclusively for S&G – a partial edition is now also available from Herpa eXtra online shopping.
