MAN TGA box semitrailer "Buessing"

specialmodell Special Model
Product number: 265072
Listprice: €40.52
Today’s MAN trucks and busses carry the logo MAN in front (which by the way stands for “Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nürnberg”, although the company is based in Munich) and underneath it, a lion, which is easily recognized as a stylized Braunschweiger Burglöwe (castle lion). But what does the Bavarian-based company have to do with Braunschweig? That’s easy – the current MAN plant Salzgitter is the former Büssing-Werk. And the Büssing company was founded in Braunschweig and had - for the longest part of its existence –its production there. They had made the Burglöwe its trademark. In memory of this great company and its founder, Heinrich Büssing, the MAN vehicles carry the lion in connection with the letters MAN, although the Büssing company does not exist anymore. As a sign of their solidarity, MAN has placed an order for this exclusive model for Büssing’s 125th birthday.
