In 2011, the Bayreuth fire brigade was able to look back proudly on 150 years of service. On January 22, 1861, a gymnast’s fire brigade was established to support the existing facilities for extinguishing fires. The original 3-man night-watch of the gymnast’s fire brigade of the year 1862 (accommodated together with the police in city hall) has since become an auxiliary fire brigade boasting about 330 active members (40 of them full-time). They are divided into 13 divisions and based at 10 locations. A partial edition of this exclusive model is now also available at the Herpa brands shop.
