A total of three Airbus A350-900 are set to fundamentally modernize the widebody fleet of Germany’s governmental transport wing that has made negative headlines of late. In April 2020, aircraft 10+03 was ferried to Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg where it will be equipped with a conference room, office rooms, military-grade communications systems and an anti-missile system. This first specially-equipped A350 is to be handed over to the Executive Aircraft Wing of the German Air Force in summer 2020.
