The “Quadriga Project” was a project that cumulated in the development and purchase of the in the meantime 4th block of the Eurofighter. The technically upgraded aircraft will replace older, less capable Eurofighters from the first batch delivered to Germany. The binary code behind the cockpit represents the ongoing digitalization of the German Luftwaffe, whereas the blue polygonal design interprets the corporate design of the German armed forces. The final major element is a “quadriga” on the stabilizer, an ancient Roman chariot pulled by four horses which can also be found atop Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.
