Product number:

Listprice:
€29.50
The “Richthofen” fighter squadron was established in 1959 at Ahlhorn near Bremen, and put under NATO control. After 1974, and meanwhile transferred to Wittmund near Wilhelmshaven, the squadron was equipped with the F-4F “Phantom II” interceptor. For the squadron’s 50th anniversary, the F-4F “Phantom II” with the registration 3703 will receive an impressive special livery. On the underside the silhouettes of the F-86 Sabre and the F-104 Starfighter are depicted – the F-4 “Phantom’s” two predecessor airplane types at the squadron. On the tail unit, a picture of Baron Manfred von Richthofen and his red DR-1 triplane from World War I is displayed. The anniversary airplane will be released simultaneously in the 1/200 scale by Herpa Wings. Design by Louis Du Chateau
